I am getting pretty excited now! My ORGANIZED friend Nancy, sent me the itinerary a couple days ago. Should I tell her now or later that I require at least 5 hours of sleep everynight. No, I think I better tell her after we leave or she might make me stay home. WOW, I am going to need a vacation from a vacation (don't tell my work but I might have to call in sick the Monday I get back to rest up...OOOPPS, I think my coworkers are reading this! Shhh, just don't tell Barb and Audi). 

This is going to be the experience of my lifetime. Hopefully just the first of many great adventures overseas! Nancy has sketched out the ten days in sections of the city. In this twenty-some pages she has put together, she expains  the where's and the how's of everything from catching of our water taxi, picking up calling cards, getting bottled water, resturants and shops, hours of operations, and when to contact her aquaintances over there. Included are names of the staff and family members at the Hotel Flora. She has listed how-to directions to use the phones back and forth from Itlay to the US with all applicable numbers. I think she has done this a time or two. It's great not to have to think about this stuff and have it done for me. Thank you my dear friend.  

Although we will be in Venice, the news from Rome should be interesting to follow with the locals. Today they have begun preparing the Sistine Chapel for the papal conclave and by the time we get there, the vacant seat should have a newley elected Pope (at least I think). Our vacation leads right up to Easter so I can't wait to watch the rituals of the Catholic culture up close.I hope to find some unusual Easter goodies to bring home for my little ones.
